The Greenhouse Experience
For 40+ years, our 16,000 sq. ft. greenhouses offer horticultural haven. Open May to early June, Patty and Courtney lead a knowledgeable, friendly team, catering to gardening needs. Explore Hastings Lake Gardens for annuals, herbs, veggies, and a variety of hanging baskets.
Event Planning Expertise
Courtney’s event passion grew from family gatherings, mastering food, scheduling, décor, and uniting loved ones joyfully.
In 2014, a trade show moment steered Courtney to full-time planning. After a Marvel College diploma, she earned an Event Management certificate from NAIT. Merging flair with management, Planit Events Inc. emerged in 2015. In 2019, Courtney earned the Outstanding Professional Event Planner title at the Edmonton Event Awards. An ILEA member since 2015, she served on the Edmonton Chapter Board from 2016 to 2021. Nominated for an ILEA Esprit Award for Best Non-Profit Event over $100,000 US, Courtney’s logistical expertise and commitment ensure each client’s vision becomes an unforgettable reality. When I look at what life has brought me my greatest accomplishment has been MY FAMILY. We have always remained close and with the blessings of businesses like the gardens we all work together as well. Not to say that doesn’t have it ups and downs but the reward of being able to celebrate ALL holidays, weekend get togethers, weekday pop overs, and to have everyone there is amazing! We had been buying flowers from Hastings Lake Gardens for 3 years and we never knew the beauty behind the “rope” and when we were told that HLG was for sale, Court and I headed over immediately! Once seeing the majestic gardens we were sold. We had so much fun with the weddings in 2023 and with my business background, and Courts events background, we are going to bring new and exciting adventures to Hastings Lake Gardens!
