Join us for a hands-on morning of creativity and connection as we welcome Blooms on 7 owner and farmer, Brianna Sims, for a truly unique workshop experience!
Discover the beauty of tataki zome—an ancient Japanese eco-dyeing technique—where flowers and botanicals are transformed into stunning, one-of-a-kind prints. In this guided workshop, you’ll learn how to transfer natural pigments from fresh blooms onto fabric using simple, satisfying techniques.
You’ll begin by practicing on paper cardstock to get a feel for the process, experimenting with different flowers, textures, and compositions. Once you’re ready, you’ll move on to your final piece—designing and creating a custom cotton tote bag, dyed and decorated entirely by you. The result is a beautiful, functional piece of art you can use and enjoy all season long.
As always, our workshops are about more than just creating—you’ll have the chance to connect with fellow flower lovers, share inspiration, and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
Don’t miss this opportunity to explore a new floral art form and support local growers and makers!
